Chillingham Castle, January 5th-8th 2007

Friday 5th January 2007

Pen flying out my hand shortly after arrival. Witnessed by the whole group. Half an hour later my lighter disappeared off the table in front of everyone and turned up the following day in a pack of tea bags. Stroking of cheek, footsteps towards door and temperature fluctuation.

During a seance in touch with spirit 'Mary' who was complaining that her feet hurt from walking the castle. She was being assisted by a man named Gilbert.

Locked off camera showed that there was activity around the lamp in the bedroom of the Tower apartment. Many orbs to and from the lamp, very apparent.

Glass divination sessions produced - Mary, whose husband hath gone away. Another lady called Eleanor. Two soundbytes below picked up during these sessions. First in reply to surname enquiry, second enquiry as to date.

Saturday 6th January 2007

One of the beds in the bedroom had been made while we were all out shopping.

In the woods, clock heard chiming ten o'clock when it wasn't.

On a walk the clock face was witnessed as being round with gold numerals when it was actually black and diamond shaped. However, it has since been renovated and now it does actually look to be round with gold numerals!

Sunday 7th January 2007

Teaspoon appeared in the bottom of a teapot after it had just been emptied.

David experiencing a 'power surge' - heat radiating from feet to head, then rapid cooling.

Courtyard apartment - glass divination session - four children contacted. Orbs caught on camera and also a light anomaly that changed shape as it moved. David had a very emotional outburst, being in tears for no obvious reason.

From the bottom of the stairway leading up to the castle apartments, monks could be heard chanting.

Castle Hill, Sowerby..

We carried out two investigations at this property, so I have combined the two.

Horses hooves being heard in the courtyard.

Communication with spirit Jacob, who indicated that they were his initials JS that had appeared scratched into the firplace.

Appearance of an orb above the table during a seance, see photo below.

Cold so extreme in the dining room that I had to leave the room.

Physical difficulties experienced by the whole group while in the master bedroom, brought about by the spirit of children that had suffered diptheria. One of these, Bridget, seemed intent on sharing her life with me, taking me into some kind of trance, to the room where she used to live.

While we were in the bedroom the digital recorder that had been placed in the dining room picked up a plethora of different sounds including walking around the room and a loud clank which turned out to be from the doors of the wood-burning stove. Click on soundbytes below.

Jumping of the glass in a divination session and at the same time the wood-burnng stove's glass doors being opened and anomolous footsteps. At the same time the loft hatch showing some signs of movement.
