| No smoking and not cold. Is this a casper? |
Since our last visit and Kevin's holiday, the following things
have happened in the pub. The Strongbow cellar buoy blew and was examined by engineers to see if they could find the
cause. There were no stripped threads or any other apparent cause. A dustpan and brush flew off the cooler into
the bar. On the same day a glass fell off the shelf, missing the till that it should have fallen on and smashed on the
floor. Two oven trays fell off the oven onto the floor while everyone was in the bar. Two five pence pieces were
found under the bar fridge, with no possible way of getting there accidentally and one was found wedged in the display unit
of the cigarette machine. The pool balls have been heard clinking again when there was no one playing pool. There
were three loud bangs from inside the glass washer and then the glasses in a tray on the draining board began shaking, but
everything around them remained still. Finally, a cat was heard meowing but there has been no cat in the pub for quite
some time.
Also, Kevin has had access to an infra-red camera which he
has placed in the cell area with the receiver placed on the bar. He and his staff have been able to witness light
activity almost constantly, and when we arrived we were also able to see orbs as well as light anomalies.
The evening began, as always, with a period of protection.
Because of the previous audible anomalies that were picked up in the Pool Room it was decided, this time, to set up two locked
off cameras for a short period to see if we could detect any movement from a wider angle, as well as the trigger objects on
the table itself. We were rewarded in a few seconds by a bright orb travelling from the bottom of the door,towards
the ceiling. So it was to be during the whole of the night, nearly all our results coming from light rather than sound.
Totally opposite from our previous visit.
We assembled briefly, in the passage leading to the courtyard,
to take photos and work out the strategy for the night. The photograph shown above was taken in a series of three.
Nothing showed on the one before, or the one after, yet there is a strange mist appearing on the middle one. No one
was smoking and the night was relatively warm. As we were leaving this location David appeared after checking the locked
off cameras. In his hand he was holding a five pence piece that had appeared in his pocket. He had completely
emptied his pockets before leaving home! His wish had been for pound coins!!
We proceeded for our first vigil in the stables. Tickling
seemed to be overriding feature, being experienced by everyone in the circle at some stage. Also, three members felt
as though they were being watched from high in the rafters, which would have originally been an upper level. The temperature
continued to drop until it became incredibly cold, but at the same time the temperature near the door increased. Various
orbs were caught on stills camera, but nothing on video.
After this, the first group of Dave, Chris, Nikki and Bhavesh
began their vigil in the cell area. Before everyone had settled David jumped and nearly dropped the camera, convinced
that something had touched the top of his head. As shown on the tape he was nowhere near the roof and no one else was
near enough. It was not long after this, as David asked out, that there began a wonderful light show, anomalies
appearing every few minutes, all seeming to emanate from one corner of the cell, running either towards the door or towards
Bhavesh sitting to the right of it. During this period Chris complained of having pain in his back on the left side,
as did Bhavesh. Nikki complained of feeling a heaviness on her back as though someone was leaning on her. Now
what makes this unusual was the fact that when Lila replaced Nikki and Sue replaced Chris both made exactly the same comments,
but the incidents had not been discussed.
Bhavesh was convinced that he could see the shape of a young,
thin man in the darkness, and went on to describe how he could see him crouched by the wall facing the door, and he had about
him an orange glow. Towards the end of the vigil, as Dave announced that the tape was running out and asked for a sign,
Bhavesh complained that he was being choked and became very upset, so much so that the vigil had to be closed and Bhavesh
had to be moved from the area. However, he remained unharmed and returned for the second session, with no ill effects.
It should be noted here too, that at the beginning of the
second vigil the same thing happened to Dave again!

Our next visits were to the bedrooms, where we began, splitting
into smaller groups. The following accounts are in no particular order.
In the small bedroom at the side of the house, four of us
took stills photos, (see above), while asking out. Apart from a slight drop in temperature and a slight breeze
originating from the corner, nothing else was recorded. The photo shown above contains what we believe to be dust orbs,
except the one top left.
In the small bedroom at the rear of the property, looking
on to the courtyard, Kevin has seen a woman looking down. Stills photos were taken, again while asking out for the lady
to show herself. In the photo below, not only is there an orb on Kevin, but also some strange light anomoly by the window.

In an empty bedroom, again at the rear of the property, Dave,
Kath and Bhavesh thought that nothing much was going on. In fact they reported that it was very quiet, with a very
pleasant atmosphere. However, during the short time that they were in there the video camera did pick up two very bright
light anomolies about two minutes apart.
Afterwards they joined the rest of us in the bedroom containing
the red leather sofas. The atmosphere in this room was altogether different. It felt as though it was charged
with electricity, had a cool breeze blowing across those who were seated. I asked if the inn had a history of a religious
order having used it, because I was begining to get images of a nun entering the building. This was confirmed by Kevin.
When asking if she was present we began to get first orbs moving across the room and then a wonderful sheet (?) of light shimmering
across the screen. Below is one of the stills photos. Some noise of rustling was heard in the room, but no one
could pinpoint where it was coming from and was heard for quite some time.
The night finished with another visit to the stables and
although again tickling was felt by a couple of people, the only other thing of note was me nearly falling off my chair as
it felt as though it had been given a push backwards. Alternatively, it may have been my tiredness showing and me losing
my balance, but I would think that is unlikely on a chair!
Again, the night was thoroughly enjoyed by all who attended
and again, plenty of unexplained phenomena was recorded. We will be visiting the pub again on the 12th of November to
cover the rest of the property.
